we played with the album leaf in pomona and didn't have a place to stay there so we all drove on to tucson.
we traded players, so me and evan went with the album leaves and 2 album leaves went in the rogue van.
we watched some videos and hung out and then i konked out.
it was our first time driving all night.
so we got into tucson around 9 the next morning and checked into the hotel congress to find out that today was tucson's annual dillinger days festival. john dillinger was an outlaw who set fire to the top floor of the congress and was ultimately captured, and i think killed too, outside of the hotel.
so the nice lady at the front desk lets us check in early and gives us earplugs, because there is a stuntman team that is going to re enact the infamous shoot out at 2 and again at 4.
so we grab some grub at grill and head to bed around noon or so.
earplugs in and pillow over my head still didn't help. the gunfight was right below our window.
we couldn't have had better seats if we tried. i was able to sleep again after that, but the again at 4 is what really got me. i had to get up after that. besides, i don't want to sleep all day cuz i need to go to bed again that night.
evan and i headed down to the hotel bar to check out the scene.
lots of old folks dressed up all old timey and a band playing hits from the 20s and 30s. it was rad.
so then we went to the show at solar culture where they fed us an amazing vegetarian meal.
yum.
and that is about all i have to say for now.
