Hi! i am excited these

Hi!
i am excited these days. many good things are happening.
the Tape Op convention was bad ass.
i got to meet a few heroes of mine and learned(drank) an awful lot.
the best part was being able to geek out about recording and bands all weekend with no one telling you to stop.
the other thing i am excited about is the Immersion Composition Society, or ICS.
every 2 weeks, you spend one whole day making as many tracks as possible and then go to a listening party.
basically, it's completely awesome and i figured out much about myself and how i make music, lots comes out when you don't have time to edit. everyone that makes music should try it. start your own lodge even!
i made 7 tracks my first time and I'm pretty happy with them, so...
here they are, under Immersion Composition Society.
ICS is a simple concept, i'll let the founder explain:

"The I.C.S is an occult-tinged organization of speed-composers.A network of volume-songwriter "lodges" (think "Noise-Masons") that, on a two week cycle, spend a day in the collective, ritualistic detonation of certain wretched forces. Through an organized system of ridiculous, self inflicted mind tortures, no, not really ha ha, affectionate peer pressure, and structured mindless behaviors, The sniveling abominations of perfectionism, rationality, procrastination, and socio-psychological pressure are verily smited. You see, these are the forces that keep the people that should be wildly prolific composers hiding in damp and musty nowheres, arguing passionately with afternoon cooking programs, perhaps carving ice cubes into the shapes of little swans.

We, the bold technicians of recklessness that populate the tenebrous subworld of Immersion Music, compose anywhere from six to twenty pieces of completely new music, between waking up, and the time of the meeting, or "Listening Party", wherein all lodge members bring their individual "day albums" to a common location, and together they listen to each and every song, while, in the manner of beasts, roaring and hooting their encouragement. Such are the rites."

so there you go, now don't complain that I never gave you anything. enjoy yourselves folks.

love,

gram

PS. they finally released the Mr. Show DVDs and they are amazing!
The audio commentary for each episode is like a new episode unto itself. thanks bob and david. i love you.
